We’ve pushed two important updates to how Battlefield REDSEC tournaments are scored on Repeat – a competitive integrity fix for Battlefield REDSEC Battle Royale mode, and a new placement tracking feature which are now live across all Battle Royale score templates.
⚠ Active Fix: Duos games will no longer count toward Battlefield REDSEC Battle Royale tournament scoring. Only Squads matches will contribute to your score going forward. This change is already live in the OpTic Cup and applies to all tournaments that have not yet started as of March 5, 1:00am UTC.
Battle Royale Duos Fix
Our team identified an issue with how Battlefield 6’s REDSEC Battle Royale mode was being counted in tournament scoring. Duos and Squads operate under different conditions which contribute to creating an uneven playing field for some users.
To preserve competitive integrity across all Battlefield 6 tournaments, only Squad matches will now count in Battlefield REDSEC Battle Royale scoring. Duos matches will be excluded entirely.
Squads – Counts toward tournament score
Duos – No longer counts toward tournament score
Please note: This fix is not retroactive. Scores from previously completed tournaments will remain unchanged. The update is live now in the OpTic Cup and will apply to all Battlefield 6 REDSEC tournaments moving forward.
Placement Now Tracked in Battle Royale
New – Placement Scoring
Placement is now a counted metric in our Battle Royale score templates. Where you finish in a match matters – higher placement earns more points, rewarding squads who push for the win rather than just accumulating stats.
The points will be as follows:

This addition brings Battle Royale scoring more in line with how the mode is meant to be played. Finishing in the top positions will now contribute meaningfully to your tournament total alongside other tracked metrics, incentivising consistent, high-level performance across every match.
The placement metric is live now and applies to all Battlefield 6 REDSEC Battle Royale tournaments going forward.
At Repeat every update we ship is driven by one goal – making sure your tournament experience is as fair, competitive, and rewarding as possible. Fixes like this one aren’t just technical housekeeping; they’re a reflection of our commitment to making sure every match you play counts the way it should.
We’re always listening to player feedback, so if you spot something that doesn’t feel right or have ideas on how we can improve, don’t hesitate to reach out via Discord or Support.
