Madden NFL 26 has officially landed on Repeat, and we’re opening the doors with early Beta access to competitive tournaments. This phase gives players a chance to jump in early, stress-test new systems, and help shape the future of Madden 26 competition on the platform.
Our goal during Beta is simple: create a smooth, fair, and rewarding tournament experience. We’re closely monitoring match reporting, scoring balance, and tournament pacing while gradually expanding availability. If something feels off, or if you’ve got a great idea, your feedback plays a direct role in what comes next.
Available Tournament Game Modes
At launch, Repeat tournaments support two core Madden 26 experiences through our leaderboard system:
Online Head-to-Head (Quick Play)
This is Madden at its purest. No modifiers, no gimmicks – just standard H2H matchups where skill and execution decide the outcome.
Ultimate Team – Ranked H2H
Build your roster, refine your strategy, and put your Ultimate Team to the test. This mode has the same score system as quick play, but only tracks the Ultimate Team ranked game mode.
Both of the above tournaments will offer traditional scoring that we have cultivated over the last several months in Madden 25 tournaments.
New Strategy-Focused Tournament Types
Beyond traditional leaderboard play, Madden 26 on Repeat introduces specialized tournaments built around distinct styles of play. These formats allow players to compete in ways that highlight their strengths – not just the final score.
Defense Demon
Defense wins championships – and points. This tournament rewards players who thrive on locks, stops, and shutting opponents down.
Air It Out
If your offense lives through the air, this one’s for you. Passing yards, big plays, and touchdown throws drive your score.
Ground and Pound
Physical football pays off here. This mode emphasizes rushing success, time of possession, and run-heavy dominance.
Winner’s Circle
Sometimes, the only thing that matters is winning. This format places extra weight on the final result, giving bonus points for securing the W.
Be sure to check the scoring tab on the tournament to see all the different statistics and their point values that the tournament is tracking.
Ultimate Team OVR Rules
Your OVR is determined by your full Ultimate Team lineup at the start of a match – not just your starters. If a tournament lists an OVR range, only games played within that range will count.
Key things to know:
- Your opponent’s OVR does not matter
- Bench players are included in your team OVR
- OVR is locked in when the match begins
What’s Coming After Beta?
Once Beta testing wraps up and systems are fully dialed in, players can expect:
- Expanded and featured tournaments
- Bigger prize pools
- Limited-time events
- New competitive formats
We’ll be sharing updates through email, Discord, social channels, and right here on the blog.
Help Shape the Scoring System
Every tournament format relies on scoring rules, and we want them to feel right. Review the Scoring Breakdown and let us know:
- What feels rewarding
- What feels under- or over-valued
- What stats we should consider adding
Your input helps define how future tournaments evolve.
Found an Issue?
That’s part of the process. If you encounter a bug or unexpected behavior, please submit a report so we can address it quickly during Beta.
Thanks again to everyone who pre-registered and jumped in early. Madden NFL 26 tournaments are just getting started on Repeat – and we’re excited to build what comes next with you.
gg,
The Repeat Team
