Super Bowl season isn’t just about watching the big game. For competitive Madden players, it’s about proving you can play it better than anyone else.
Madden 26 is here on Repeat, and to celebrate – we’re kicking off in a big way! The Kick-off Tournament series – a full month of competitive action designed for players who want to test their skills. Whether you’re grinding Ultimate Team, dominating in Online H2H Ranked, or just looking to compete during the hype of Super Bowl, we’ve built tournaments for every playstyle.
This isn’t a one-and-done event. It’s a structured competitive calendar with $5,000 in total prizes, multiple tournament formats, and clear pathways to keep climbing. If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to prove yourself in Madden 26, this is it.
The Tournament Lineup: Five Ways to Compete
We’ve designed the Madden 26 Kickoff series to reward different skills and strategies across the game. Here’s what’s running from January 28th through February 25th:
Madden 26 Launch Cup kicks things off with the marquee competition featuring a $2,000 prizepool. Open to both Ultimate Team and Online H2H Ranked modes, this month-long tournament is your chance to establish dominance early and claim the biggest share of the prize pool.
From there, we’re running weekly themed tournaments that spotlight specific aspects of your game:
Air it Out rewards the deep ball specialists and passing game architects with a $500 prizepool. If you live in the pocket and know how to exploit coverage, this is your tournament.
Ground and Pound is for the run game purists. Clock management, read options, and old-school football fundamentals win here. Get your share of a $500 prizepool.
Defense Demon puts the spotlight where it belongs – on the players who understand that defense wins championships, and also take a share of a $500 prizepool. Lock down opponents and prove you’re elite on that side of the ball.
Big Game Blitz runs during the first two weeks of the series with a unique twist: you can only use the two Super Bowl teams. Up for grabs is a $1000 prizepool. It’s the ultimate test of mastery under constraints, running right through Super Bowl weekend on February 8th.
Every tournament features staggered start times to maximize your ability to participate, with skill-based brackets (OVR) ensuring you’re matched against competitive opposition. And if one run doesn’t go your way? Clear re-entry pathways mean you can run it back and improve.
