Repeat.gg Under 18 Accounts With Parent Permission Now Available

0
Repeat

Users who are under 18 can now play free (with cash prize pools) and coin entry tournaments on Repeat.gg as long as their parent or guardian gives consent.

Good news for all of you under 18 gamers! Repeat.gg has launched a version of the website that allows anyone under the age of 18 to play and win as long as they’ve given their parents consent.

How does this work?

When you are creating an account, after you have selected your Date of Birth, a field will generate with a check box indicating your parents have read our terms and conditions and give their consent for you to compete.

Simply fill out all the fields in the sign up process and make sure your parents have read our terms and conditions. Then, once they give your consent, you may check the box and continue with the onboarding process.

What if I had already created an account?

If you created an account prior to this release and claimed to be over the age of 18, any winnings you made during that time are voided and cannot be withdrawn. You can remove your Game ID from the existing account and create a new account with your correct age and parental consent.

If you want to keep your same account but just change your date of birth (with your winnings voided), email [email protected] and we can change it for you. We will also be releasing a form that will allow you to change your details and add your parent or guardian consent and we will announce this on our social channels and in Discord.

What is different about U18?

Due to certain laws in the United States, users who are under the age of 18 are not allowed to play in cash entry tournaments. You will only be able to view free and coin-entry tournaments for this reason. You can view our terms and conditions to see more detail on this.

Is there a minimum age requirement?

Yes, users of the website still have to be at least the age of 13 to compete in the free and coin entry tournaments.

We hope this may answer any questions you have about the under 18 version of the website. If you have any further questions, please email us at [email protected] or reach out to us on Discord.

8/28/20 Update

The Call of Duty: Warzone Beta is officially released for Xbox One and Playstation players! Watch the video below to see how to connect your account on console.

Original Article

Good news for all of you Call of Duty Warzone players: Repeat.gg has officially launched our open Beta for PC players. Note that we are in the beta stage of Call of Duty Warzone, so there may be times when we have to erase scores and re-do the scoring results based on feedback or any bugs that may occur during this time. Your placement* may go up or down based on this.

We want to get as much feedback from you as possible. We have added a #warzone channel in our Discord and you can always reach out to [email protected] with issues.

How Scoring Works in Call of Duty Warzone Tournaments

At the moment, since there are different number of players in the game modes (100 players in solos, 150 players in Duos/Trios, etc), we will award you points based on time survived instead of placement in the game. Points will break down as follows:

Time played (survived): 0.04 points per second

Kills: 20 points per kill

Damage: 1 damage point = 0.06 points on Repeat

How Do I Connect My Call of Duty Game ID?

See the below video which shows how to enter your Game ID on the Repeat platform.

  1. Go to a tournament page by clicking the Enter button and then click “Add Game ID To Enter
OR click the drop down arrow by your profile picture, click “My Account”, and click “Add New” at the bottom
  2. Click Call of Duty Warzone
  3. Login to your Battle.net account and click “allow” on the following screen
  4. Your Game ID should be successfully added.

Make Your Stats Publicly Available

In order for your stats to come in properly, you need to make them publicly available. You can see this in the video above, but also follow these steps:

How Do I Compete in Beta Tournaments?

Once you have connected your Call of Duty account to your Repeat account with your Battle.net ID,PSN, or Xbox One accounts, you can enter our open beta tournaments just like any others. Go to the tournaments page and find a tournament that isn’t full, and hit enter!

We’re beyond excited to launch our Call of Duty Warzone tournaments and cannot wait to hear your feedback. Well, what are you waiting for? Get started in our open beta now.

*Your placement in the tournament is not guaranteed in case we have to make improvements on the scoring system. If the scoring system updates you can see your actual place in tournaments after they have ended in the My Tournaments section.

The past six weeks have been such an incredible time at Repeat as we’ve been part of the Fortnite BFC $5k Zone Wars with Team Kungarna and Bigo.

Each week we have hosted a qualifying event for anyone to place and get the chance to compete against actual professional Fortnite players and a $5,000 prize pool. Major shout out to the Repeat users who qualified and were able to show their skills in front of thousands and thousands of people watching on Twitch and Bigo.

We understand this is the kind of opportunity most Fortnite players dream about and plan to host similar events like this in the future. Stay locked in to Repeat’s social media (@repeatgg) for any updates on upcoming events!

The amount of money awarded during the BFC $5k Zone Wars Finals is no joke. The following is the full leaderboard of the money that went out during the six weeks of BFC Finals.

Big congrats to KNG Yuldy for securing the biggest bag!

Although the first season of BFC is in the books, the events will not finish here. This week we will begin hosting weekly events such as Twitter Tuesday, a password entry tournament where you have to go to our Twitter to unlock a password, Friday Frenzy, where we will release 70+ free tournaments at random in a 24 hour span, and Sunday Funday, where we change up the rules in some way to make it a unique experience. All of these events will be free to enter!

Keep coming back to Repeat.gg and join the latest Team Kungarna influencer tournament and the next U.S. Army tournament which will be live in the next few days as well.

Introducing Weekly Events With Free Tournaments on Repeat.gg

Build your account and familiarize yourself with the Repeat platform with Twitter Tuesdays, Friday Frenzy, Sunday Funday, and more weekly events!

10/12/2020 Update:

Repeat has added Mix It Mondays to our Weekly Events! Head over to the Fortnite or Dota 2 tournaments page where you will find small entry fee tournaments with specialized rules. For Fortnite, we will have US only, Console only, EU only, and Solos only tournaments, and for Dota 2 we are bringing back role-specific tournaments with Support, Carry, and Mid only tournaments.

9/25/2020 Update:

Be sure to check out the Win or Go Home Fortnite Sunday Fundays, which will ONLY reward 1st place points and kills will only be worth 0.1. Dota 2 is also launching a Last Hits Sunday Funday where only Creep kills count for 1 and minion kills count for 0.1.

Original Article:

Free tournaments are an excellent way to introduce yourself to the Repeat.gg platform and build your account so you can compete in many other cash and coin tournaments, which is why we’re announcing the addition of weekly event series which will featured different styles of tournaments but all will have free entry!

These tournaments will become available for registration at different times, but the competition will always be on the same day every week so you know when to come back and enter in these tournaments. Fortnite and Dota 2 are running these events now with Warzone to launch soon.

New to Repeat.gg? Register for an account now.

Twitter Tuesdays

The first of these weekly events will be our Twitter Tuesdays tournament. This will act the same as any other free-to-enter Fortnite tournament, except this tournament will be password locked and you will have to go to our Twitter, find the tweet about the week’s password tournament, like it, and you will be DMed the password.

The registration for the Twitter Tuesday tournament will be available for 24 hours prior to the tournament which will go live for all regions at 04:00 UTC and last for 24 hours.

Friday Frenzy

Repeat

Are you ready for the FRENZY?! Every Friday, more than 70 free-to-enter tournaments with cash prize pools will randomly appear on the website at different times. They won’t have the same number of entrants or the same prize pool, and you won’t be notified of their appearance. You simply have to be on the website at the right time!

Again this will take place over a 24 hour period, but each tournament will only last an hour. They will have the typical free tournament rules.

Sunday Funday

Repeat

Sundays are when you will get to show off your creativity and fun side. We will host two 12-hour tournaments, one for the first 12 hours of the day and another for the 2nd 12 hours (first starts at 4:00am UTC), but these will have crazy rules and encourage wacky game play.

For example, the tournament rules could give you -5 points for a kill, but award you massive points for placing higher. So it’s all about survival without actually killing any opponents! This is just one example of the fun way you can participate in the Sunday Funday events. We will be sure to explain the rules in the Tournament Overview and on our Social Media pages in advance.

Make sure you’re following us @repeatgg and join our Discord where we have support available for most hours of the day.

Brands Hit The Target But Miss Out On 99.9% Of Gamers

0
Brands Gamers

By now, almost everyone knows esports and gaming is massive, but here’s why brands are missing the mark when it comes to targetting gamers.

When you search esports online, you will most likely read about how much time millennials and Gen Zs spend on watching gaming content via Twitch and YouTube.

A study by Newzoo has pinned this to be around 3.5 hours weekly, but interestingly the same study found that these same demographics spent 15+ hours a week playing games. This means these two demographics PLAY games four times more than they watch games.

Why is this important? Brands have made significant investments in esports by sponsoring leagues, teams, and professional gamers with the expectation that their brand will be viewed by Gen Z and millenials who

  1. Attend venue based tournaments and see static logos on banners or tickets.
  2. View venue based tournaments on Twitch and YouTube seeing their brand’s name/logo amongst the many other logos as the camera pans across the venue.

Unfortunately, with COVID-19, these live venue-based events are placed on hold for the foreseeable future. Even without a pandemic, brands have admitted to me that their current esports strategies may be too hyper-focused on the pro-player versus casting a wider net to target all gamers, including casual gamers.

Accessing the full spectrum of gamers is where Repeat.gg excels. Our approach to esports targets the actual 18-35-year-old gamer, where existing esports strategies target the anonymous viewer on Twitch or YouTube, who may be a 6-year old child.

Gamers are attractive because they make 32% more income than the non-gamer but are elusive for marketers to reach with

  • Only 18% watching TV
  • 61% are using ad-block compared to 28% for non-gamers
  • 69% find ads annoying and simply shift to a different screen when they see ads

Repeat.gg has built technology where advertisements can not be blocked by users. Our tournaments enable brands to market directly to millennials and Gen Zs through

  • ‘Entry fees’ – In order to enter the tournament, gamers must first watch a 30-second video, complete a social action, or take a short survey.
  • Brand’s tournament screen which gamers check 3x daily for their ranking.

Repeat’s marketing team has proven success in reaching millenials and Gen Z’s leveraging influencers, social media, and our current active user base to promote and build engagement with branded tournaments. Repeat’s marketing strategy makes sure the influencers aren’t the recipient of physical goods, like Nike shoes, or services, like Uber Eats but instead are promoting a branded tournament just for their fan base.

This enables the focus to shift from the influencer to their followers who are the recipients of the branded esports tournament. Now the influencer is viewed as a giver and not a sell-out. Consumer jealousy is alleviated. The brand is focused directly on the target market, bringing about significant positive brand sentiment and making it a win for all involved participants, the brand, the influencer, and the consumer.

Repeat is the only platform that can run tournaments that allow over 200 entrants, with a max capacity of one million-plus. All gamers compete for cash prizes with each tournament paying out the top 40 percent, not just the top 3. This is advantageous to brands because this payout structure has a psychological effect on the gamer, who will continue to compete and engage with the brand over the lifetime of the tournament.

The Repeat platform was built for brands by professional gamers to bring brands and gamers together with actualized ROI, low CPM’s, and millions of impressions converting gamers into customers.

Fortnite Box Fight Championship (BFC) $5k Zone Wars

0
fortnite

Repeat.gg is thrilled to be working with Team Kungarna on the Fortnite Box Fight Championship (BFC) $5k Zone Wars Series.

One of the most fun things a person can encounter when playing their favorite video games is when they come across one of their favorite streamers or competitive players during a match. Even more fun is when they kill said streamer or competitive player.

But not everyone gets to feel that joy, especially in a game like Fortnite with millions upon millions playing the game everyday. Well, Repeat and Team Kungarna are here to change that.

Introducing The Box Fight Championship $5k Zone Wars Series

We will be launching the Box Fight Championship (BFC) $5k Zone Wars Series, which will include Arena qualifiers, with the winners of these qualifier tournaments getting a chance to face off against some of the best Fortnite streamers and competitive players out there, such as Clix, who was part of the first ever $5k BFC Zone Wars Tournament.

Clix is not the only huge name that will be competing in the Finals of the $5k BFC Zone Wars, he will be joined by UnknownxArmy, Faze Sway, Faze Dubs, ZexRow, KNG Marc, and Chronic Psycho, among others in the future.

When Do The Qualifier Tournaments Run?

From Monday to Saturday, a free-entry qualifier tournament will be available to join on Repeat.gg. This will follow our same normal Fortnite scoring rules, except you will have to play Arena Solos for your scores to count in this tournament.

What Do I Have To Play For My Score To Count In The Qualifier?

Arena Solos will be tracked on all platforms, so yes, mobile players can compete in this tournament along with PC and all consoles.

What Region Will The Qualifiers Be?

North America since the influencers will be NA and we want the ping to be fair.

What Happens After Qualifiers?

The Top 4 places from the qualifying tournament will then get put into the Finals where they have a chance to compete against 12 other Fortnite streamers/competitive players in a bracket style tournament, which will be held on Monday.

What Is The Format of the BFC Finals?

The format for the Finals will always be Box Fight, Realistics, Zone Wars, and Build Battle and will be 1v1, 2v2, or 3v3 depending on the week. On weeks there are duos or trios, each Repeat qualifier winner and each influencer will choose their own teammates to compete with them.

What is the payout structure for BFC Finals?

The BFC Zone Wars Main Event will have a prize pool of $5,000 every week! 1st place will win $3,000, 2nd place wins $1,500, and 3rd place wins $500.

How Do I Know Which Pros Will Be In The Finals?

We will announce the participants of each week’s finals on social media in the days leading up to the qualifiers launching. Be sure to follow Repeat and Team Kungarna!

You know you have dreamed of competing against your favorite players and proving you have what it takes to compete with the best of the best. Who will be the next underdog to take down the big names? Will you be the next Bugha?

Find out on June 16th, when the first qualifier begins.
